I passionately believe that pregnancy and birth should be celebrated and enjoyed without fear or anxiety. You and your baby are precious and individual, and your birth is the most important event in both your lives.
As an experienced, professional Doula who has supported over 40 women to date (Jan 2010), I am committed to protecting the mother and baby during this unique and exceptional time. The mother's emotional, physical and spiritual well-being is paramount in the time leading up to birth and during the labour itself. I provide emotional, practical and informative care based on up-to-date research and evidence-based practice. I am strong believer in choice and control so I provide my services to any mother undertaking any type of birth from a Natural Homebirth through to a planned Caesarian Section. As a HypnoBirth Instructor I provide relaxing, in-depth antenatal classes which total 12.5 hours worth of antenatal education. You learn how important it is to avoid fear during labour and how fear can lead to tension then the pain which everyone normally associate with childbirth. Through the use of self-guided imagery and relaxation breathing you learn techniques to enable you to relax and feel calm and confident during your birth. Read more about HypnoBirthing here.
